Brooklyn, New York - May 27, 2009 —  Former Health Plus Intern Crystal Ferguson sang the company’s praises, as she recalled her experience participating in the Development School for Youth internship program at an awards gala for All Stars Project, Inc., held April 21, at Lincoln Center in New York City.

A division of All Stars Project, Inc., the Development School for Youth has been working for years to place inner-city youths in internships with some of the biggest companies in New York City, including managed care organization Health Plus.

“At Health Plus we’re always delighted to help aspiring professionals on their way to success,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus. “But they’re not the only ones who benefit from this internship program. We get the addition of some great temporary staff! We look forward to working with Development School for Youth and their students more in the near future.”

All Health Plus interns, in addition to standard corporate training, receive special mentoring to help them on their path to developing careers, including guidance in the areas of corporate attire, business writing, and resume training. If Crystal is any indication, the company’s mentoring/internship program seems to be getting it right.
