New York, NY - August 28, 2003 — Over a thousand people flocked to the "It's All About Health" Harlem Health and Living Fair to learn how to improve their health, physically and financially, all in an entertaining atmosphere.
 
Health Plus, the largest provider of government-sponsored health insurance plans in New York City and State, together with Community Board 10, New York City Department of Health, Community Healthcare Network, Helen B. Atkinson Clinic, New York City Housing Authority, Little Walkers Day Care, New York City Parks & Recreation, and the Harlem Congregation for Community Improvement, sponsored the all-day fair at The Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building in Harlem, to provide free services and information on health and living.
 
Attendees received free health screenings for diabetes, asthma, cholesterol, and high blood pressure, and free STD, HIV, and pregnancy testing. Information on food stamps, Section 8 housing, legal aids, immigration rights, GED programs, job readiness, job placement, car seat safety, and home owner opportunities were also presented at the fair.
