New York, NY - July 28, 2003 — Ada Rodriguez has been promoted from Marketing Director to Chief Marketing Officer at Health Plus, the largest provider of government-sponsored health insurance plans in New York City and State.

Replacing Dominic Mascara, who served the company for eight years, Rodriguez will now lead the entire marketing deparment for one of the fastest growing managed care organizations in the city. In her new position, Rodriguez will supervise Health Plus's marketing managers, who are in charge of enrolling members in all five boroughs. Reporting to Tom Early, Health Plus's executive Director, she will also be responsible for the Communications, Special Events, Community Relations, and Recertification Departments, as well as the company's incoming call center.

In 1995, Rodriguez joined Health Plus as a Member Service Representative. Two years later, she became the Marketing Manager for Staten Island, and then added South Brooklyn to her responsibility. In December of 2000 Mrs. Rodriguez was promoted to Director of Marketing, where she managed a staff of over 200 and saw the number of members more than double under her supervision - from 70,000 in 2000 to the over 200,000 members that the company boasts today.

"I hope to continue to develop and foster relations with outside organizations to allow us to continue to enroll at record numbers," says Rodriguez. "It's a win-win situation when we can provide more and more New Yorkers with free and affordable health coverage."

Rodriguez has received the Civic Award for The Staten Island Women's Conference, and is a member of the steering committee for the Latino Civic Association.
