New York, New York - June 1, 2010 — . During a late spring baseball tournament held last weekend at Randall’s Island in New York City’s East River, the young players of the Dominican Sports Foundation of New York (Fundacion Dominicana De Deportes EN NY, Inc.) were treated to a special guest appearance. New York Yankees Third Baseman Alex Rodriguez came out to pose for pictures with each of the teams and even played a brief stint as catcher, taking his stance behind home plate -- and some young sluggers.  Managed care organization Health Plus – long a supporter of the Sports Foundation --  was proud sponsor of the event.
