Health Plus Sponsors 4th Annual Myrtle Avenue Festival

Brooklyn, New York, - September 21, 2009 —  On Sunday September 20th local residents strolled along the festival grounds on Myrtle Avenue,  between Fresh Pond Road & Wyckoff Avenue, in Bushwick, Brooklyn, for the 4th Annual Myrtle Avenue Festival, sponsored, once again, by managed care organization Health Plus.

Those in attendance were treated to a day of fun, food, games, face-painting, give-a-ways, and a chance to learn more about free or affordable health plans offered by Health Plus.

“We love to come out for festivals like this,” said Tom Early, Executive Director for Health Plus.  “These neighborhood festivals are not always as well known as some of the larger ones in the city, but for the people who live in this community and contribute to making this annual event something to look forward to, there is nothing small about it.  At Health Plus we consider ourselves part of this community, as well, and are proud to do our part to celebrate the neighborhood. We look forward to continuing our presence here for years to come.”
