Bronx High School Honors Ada Rodriguez

Bronx, New York - June 4, 2009 — Last week, at the Pelham/ Split Rock Golf Club in the Bronx, St. Pius V High School held their 17th Annual Excelsior Awards Dinner.  Managed care organization Health Plus was there in strong support of their Chief Marketing Officer, Ada Rodriguez, who was honored that night as the recipient of the Excelsior Outstanding Achievement Award.

St. Pius V High School is a small Catholic high school serving almost 200 young women from the Bronx and Harlem. They provide a nurturing environment that fosters self-esteem, mutual respect, personal responsibility, and educational excellence.  A strong component of these annual awards is to show the school’s students examples of community leaders and to expose them to stories of success.

“I am so honored to accept this award,” said Ada Rodriguez, Chief Marketing Officer of Health Plus.  “But it makes me even happier that I might have a positive effect on these young women, who I am certain will flourish and grow into our leaders of tomorrow.”
