Health Plus Sponsors Bronx 10K Run

Bronx, New York - May 8, 2009 — Last weekend, runners came from all over to participate in the Bronx Community College’s 31st Annual Hall of Fame 10K Run and 2 Mile Fitness Walk .  Once again, managed care organization Health Plus was there as one of the presenting sponsors.

 Attracting hundreds of runners each year, the Bronx Community College holds this cherished event in a partnership with the Bronx Office of the American Cancer Society.  Along with their other sponsors, they work each year to increase awareness about the vital importance of cancer research, as well to raise money for further research.

Aside from their sponsorship, Health Plus made their presence known, when Executive Director Tom Early, along with his daughter – both avid runners – participated in the race.

“There is so much to love about an event like this,” said Mr Early. “At Health Plus, we’re always proud to support any event that promotes the fight against cancer. But for me to get to participate on a personal level, and get to spend time with my family as well, is a really satisfying experience.  Of course, we hope to be back again next year.”
