Health Plus and LMC Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Brooklyn, New York - February 17, 2009 — Over the weekend at Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, managed care organization Health Plus played the part of Cupid as they showered the community with warm Valentine’s Day wishes, in what has become a cherished tradition to mark the holiday.

Those in attendance were given an opportunity to pose for framed pictures with loved ones and the chance to win prizes, including a Valentine’s Day Teddy Bear.

“Not too many people want to spend Valentine’s Day in the hospital,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus, “but for those who don’t have a choice in the matter, events like this can really brighten the day.  We’re delighted to be able to give people a great holiday. On behalf of Health Plus, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day.”
