This year’s theme was “Embracing a United Workforce.” In keeping with this theme, the conference hosted an expo where Health Plus was noted for having one of the most impressive displays of the weekend. There were also numerous educational workshops, as well as inspirational speakers, including keynote speakers Congressman Charles Rangel and Lieutenant Governor David Paterson. Health Plus, as it has for many years now, was proud to sponsor the event, which supports New York State’s African-American and Latino communities.
At an awards gala, held as part of the weekend-long conference, Health Plus Chief Marketing Officer Ada Rodriguez was honored on behalf of the work that Health Plus has done.
“What a fantastic event,” remarked Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus, who was on hand to participate in the festivities. “We’re very proud to have become such a big element of this annual conference, and we are very happy to support those who support the communities we serve, too.”
