Health Plus Marches in Lunar New Year Parade

New York, New York - February 14, 2008 — This past Sunday, in Manhattan’s Chinatown, the ever-crowded streets got even more packed as thousands lined the sidewalks along the route of the 2008 Lunar New Year Parade to welcome the “Year of the Rat.”  Back for its second year, managed care organization Health Plus joined the procession of dragons and drums with its vivacious staff and decorative float -- this time as the presenting sponsor -- and was once again, one of the crowd’s favorites. 

As the parade winded its way across Mott and Allen streets in downtown Manhattan, the Health Plus contingent was certainly one of the most energetic – the staff, along with several volunteers, filling the company’s float, as they delighted the crowd with loud cheers and bright confetti.

“We sponsor and march in quite a few parades,” said Health Plus Executive Director, Tom Early, “but there are few that are this much fun for the whole family.  We certainly intend to be back next year, with even more people ready to celebrate Chinese culture and the Lunar New Year.”
