Celebrating the Return to the Classroom
Health Plus holds Back to School Fair on Fifth Ave

Brooklyn, New York - September 12, 2007 — This past weekend, as the last of the area schools slated to open their doors this week prepared for another year of academia, managed care organization Health Plus helped ease students into the transition by holding their annual Back to School Health Fair and Festival.

Partnering with the New York City Parks Department and Councilman Felix Ortiz, Health Plus took over Sunset Park in Brooklyn for a day of sunshine, fun, and games.  Children in attendance were given school supplies, courtesy of Health Plus, to help them prepare for their studies.

“There are few things more important than a good education,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus. “In fact, we believe that proper education is part of a healthy lifestyle, and we always encourage the children of the communities we serve to excel in their studies.  Hopefully events like these will encourage them to work hard all year long.”
