Brooklyn, New York - July 2, 2007 — This past Saturday at Wingate Park in Brooklyn, over twenty-thousand people showed up to celebrate the Seventh Annual Kreyolfest, a day-long festival of music, dance, and cuisine to celebrate Haitian Culture. This yearly event is the largest Haitian music event in the Northeast, and once again, managed care organization Health Plus was there as proud sponsor.

Originally called Festi Compas, Kreyolfest has been enchanting audiences each year since 2001. This year’s event, bringing in the largest crowds yet, also boasted some of the biggest names in Haitian Music today. Acts such as Djakout Mizik, T-Vice, System Band, Vwadezil, Kreyol La, Tokay, Zin, and many more took the stage, and kept the party going with a continuous twelve hours of performances. Revelers in attendance danced away to the sounds of Konpa, Rasinn, and Rap-Creole.
