Brooklyn, New York - June 4, 2007 — Yesterday in Borough Park, Brooklyn, managed care organization Health Plus – working with Nachas Health & Family Network, Inc. –  sponsored the Children’s Health and Awareness Day Health Fair at New York Public School 180, on 16th Avenue, between 55th and 56th Street.

The nearly two-thousand children in attendance had the chance to enjoy a day of games, prizes, rides, give-a-ways, and face-painting.  Health Plus staff was on hand to educate the public on the importance of proper healthcare, while giving out nutrition guides, charts for helping parents keep track of their children’s growth, and, of course, toys for the kids.

“We always enjoy working with this community,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus.  “We’ve partnered with many Jewish community leaders over the past few years on a number of events, but now, to have the chance to work closely with the community itself -- especially the children, who give such ‘nachas’ --is a real pleasure and an honor.”
