Health Plus Marches in Chinese New Year Parade

New York, NY - February 27, 2007 — This past Sunday in Manhattan’s Chinatown, the ever-crowded streets got even more packed as thousands lined the sidewalks along the route of the 2007 Lunar New Year Parade.  For the first time ever, Managed Care Organization Health Plus joined the procession of dragons and drums and floats, instantly earning its place as one of the crowd’s favorites. 

As the parade winded its way across Mott and Allen streets in downtown Manhattan, the Health Plus contingent was certainly one of the most energetic -- including several children whose angelic faces stole the show at each bend in the route.

“We sponsor and march in a quite a few parades,” said Health Plus Executive Director, Tom Early, “but there are few that are this much fun for the whole family.  We certainly intend to be back next year, with even more people ready to celebrate Chinese culture and the Lunar New Year.”
