Holiday Dreams Do Come True
Health Plus teams up with NY JETS and Toys R Us For Holiday Shopping Spree

BRONX, NY - December 20, 2006 — Yesterday, managed care organization Health Plus and the New York Jets teamed up, once again, to make this a very special holiday season for over 20 New York City boys and girls.  The children selected, all of whom are Health Plus members, got the chance to join several Jets Players, as well as Health Plus Chief Marketing Officer Ada Rodriguez, for a $250 shopping spree at the Toys R Us store on White Plains Road in the Bronx. 

The faces of the children, already bright with holiday glee, lit up even more as they walked in and saw the mountains of toys in front of them.  Some of the children went for the dolls, others for video games, but many were intent on grabbing gifts for their parents and siblings, as well.  Even at a young age, the true holiday spirit was well and alive with these Bronx youths. 

“This was such a wonderful event to arrange -- and even better to attend,” said Ada Rodriguez, Chief Marketing Officer of Health Plus.  “It is always a pleasure to partner with the Jets organization, but the look on these children’s faces as they picked out their new toys, made it really special.  We’re delighted to support this shopping spree, and we would love to see more of our children at events like this in the future.”
