Bronx, NY - November 1, 2006 — Last Thursday, the Bronx YMCA held its 44th annual Recognition Dinner and Awards Ceremony.  Tom Early, Executive Director for managed care organization Health Plus, was given the award for Community Service.

Each year the Bronx YMCA holds this event to single out and honor individuals and organizations from throughout the community who have made a difference.  On behalf of all the wonderful work that Health Plus does in the Bronx and throughout the rest of the city, its Executive Director, Tom Early, was chosen to accept this magnificent award.  Aside from the award for Community Service, the YMCA gave awards in categories such as Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, etc.

“There are a lot of organizations that hold awards ceremonies,” said Tom Early, ”but being honored by the YMCA is representative of being recognized directly by the community we serve.
Here at Health Plus, we love to give back to people of this city, and recognition like this makes it all worth it.”

Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus stands next to Linda Allocco, VP of Operations for the YMCA, Jack Lund, President and CEO for the NYS YMCA, and Elizabeth Toledo, Executive Director for the Bronx YMCA.
