Queens, NY - July 27, 2006 — Once again, Health Plus – the managed healthcare organization – has undertaken the initiative to bring the joy of major league baseball to New York City children through the program, “Let’s Go Kids!”  Partnering with various youth organizations throughout the city and Nassau County, Health Plus – along with the New York Mets – is able to provide children throughout the New York metropolitan area an opportunity to experience baseball up close at one of the sports’ celebrated venues – Shea Stadium.

“Every year,” says Executive Director of Health Plus, Tom Early, “we’re delighted to be part of an event that gives youthful fans the chance to meet their baseball idols and to experience the thrill of live baseball at Shea Stadium. Speaking personally,” he continues, “I’m a lifelong Mets fan, and I know firsthand what a great thing it is to see them hit the field. I’m proud to offer these new fans a chance to see my favorite team in action.”

Regional Marketing Manager for Queens and Nassau County, Joseph Bouquet, and Special Events Coordinator Hommy Peña, both of Health Plus, welcome young guests of the “Let’s Go Kids!” program.
