New York, NY - July 20, 2005 — Last month, Medicaid managed care organization Health Plus, along with New York State Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat and the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Economic Development, ensured that a well-deserving group of Washington Heights students would have the extra funds needed for college.  The event took place at the Columbia University Medical Center Alumni Auditorium in Washington Heights.

“Health Plus has always had a deep-rooted commitment to the people in the communities which we serve,” said Health Plus’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ada Rodriguez.  “Helping these great kids pay for the education they’re working so hard to achieve is important to us – and is an important part of their healthy development. We’re delighted to contribute to their future success.”
