Health Plus has great news! Effective September 1st 2010, authorizations are NO longer required for Specialty Visits for participating providers with the exception of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy visits.  All other prior authorization policies remain in effect including referrals to non-participating specialists.

Referrals from the PCP will continue to be required in one of the following three forms:

 1. Standard referral forms
 2. Prescription pad or
 3. Letterhead

Behavioral Health authorization requirements will also remain the same.
